I think most women hate getting their “monthly visitor” the cramps, mood swings, aches, mess and cravings are all a big pain in the rear to deal with.
For me, it seems every time it arrives I get so hungry there isn’t enough food on the planet to make the hunger stop. Tonight I ate 4 servings of pasta with alfredo sauce. I feel like I’m going to explode and I know I’ve got a few more days of this ahead of me. Bleuch…
How do you deal with this issue? I’d love to hear what you go through and how you cope.

The PMS-tapeworm (as I call it) doesn’t hit me every month, but when it does, it still catches me off-guard that I want to eat EVERYTHING and makes me wonder what the heck is wrong with me. All I can do is ride it out and try to be that much more mindful of what/how much I’m eating (which still doesn’t work all the time, but I figure it’s one day/week a month and I’ll be back to “normal” soon).
I get major junk cravings pre-period, anything breaded or sugary and I’m there, usually during the week before, it’s madness. Generally I start and then realise ‘Oh, THAT’S what that was…’
Maybe consider going protein heavier in the run up, so your meals are filling you up more? Or if you absolutely can’t live without certain things, then pre-portion them rather than trust yourself to stop eating and put the rest in the freezer to stop mindless eating.
