Harumph
Well, I realize it’s been nearly a week since I posted. Unfortunately not much has been going on here. The PT Job that called….well, every time for the past week that I’ve tried to call back, I get voicemail and no return call. Quite annoying actually. The boy flew out yesterday to TX for work. He missed his 2pm flight due to an inept shuttle driver. The next flight out at 6pm was delayed…and delayed…and delayed. When it finally took off it had to make an emergency lading due to a medical emergency. So at about 9:35 it laneded in St. Louis. He finally arrived in TX at 1am.
The “Wimple” that I was making is finished…but it felt so huge I tore it all apart. I started making it again with a smaller hook…realized my heart wasn’t in it so I’m turning my wimple yarn into a scarf…a long scarf…one that will wrap around my neck twice, unlike the one I have.
A Big Lots is opening up soon near the house. I’ve never been to a Big Lots so…yes I admit it…I’m a little excited to see what there it to see. I’m not sure when it opens, I’m betting it might be this weekend.
For anyone who’s been reading Wil Wheaton’s Blog tonight’s episode of CSI is the one he’s in. He plays some crazy homeless guy. Yes, I will be watching not just cuz I love CSI but also because it’s very cool to hear an actor talk about auditioning and getting the part and then seeing them in the finished product. Henry Rollins has described roles he auditioned for and it’s just so COOL when you get that behind the scenes stuff and then see what they’ve done. He had talked about this Sci-Fi channel show he was in and the outfit he had to wear and how “pansy” it felt for him to wear it. But let me tell you, I saw that show I can’t remember the name of it…something like “Betaville” it was very “Twilight Zone” in nature. Little short sci-fi stories that left you going “hmmmm”. But yeah, in that show he looked cool but I could see how he’d feel “pansy” in that sweeping duster jacket and sandals.
Anyway…I’ve strayed from my original intention of saying, yeah nothing new here…boring boring boring….
