Confusion
Why is it that we here in America are so scandalized by the exposure of ONE BREAST on the television during the “dinner hour”? I mean really, think about it…are we such prudes that we can’t stand to see a part of the human body that is completely natural? (well, it is possible that breast is surgically enhanced in some way but you get my meaning there).
If this happened on the television anywhere in Europe or even down in Mexico no one would think twice about it, advertisers could have cared less and life would continue as normal. So why is it we in America during the year 2004 can’t handle a naked (although not completely naked, she had some kind of ornamentation on it) breast? it’s not like the men watching the Super Bowl never saw one before…much less never touched one. And the young teen boys watching I’m sure have seen them in magazines, and National Geogrpahics as well as online. And the even younger ones…most likely weren’t paying much attention because Janet and dude’s music really leaves a lot to be desired for kids that young. As for the women watching…yeah, we’ve seen those since we first started getting them, it’s nothing new to us, and the young girls who may have been watching (although I doubt they were watching cuz it’s football and bleuch…they’d rather play with their Barbies and ya know, they’ve seen Babie’s naked breasts each time they change her clothes…) will soon get them and it’s better to find out the truth about them now rather then get shocked and surprised later…
So c’mon…what’s the big deal!? So she bared an ornamented boob…everyone look and then move on with your bad selves…
Every time we make a big deal about something like this it just shows the world how lame we Americans really are…
