The Longest Day
Today has taken forever to end. Although, the gifts have started rolling in. So far I have received a box of Godiva chocolates. I walked around the office to share with those who don’t normally receive gifts. I also received a bottle of wine. It’s got a special label with the name of the publication that gave it to me. It is a red table wine. I received a small teddy bear that is a from the Lukemia and Lymphoma Society. A publication made a donation to them in my name and the bear I suppose is given to all who make donations. I also got a gift card to Starbucks. A publication in Denver sent me Table Topics Conversation Cards And finally I received a book. I big hardcover book of all the Broadway Playbill covers. It’s incredibly heavy. I’m not sure I have the energy to carry it home.
The office has received many tins of Garrett’s popcorn, baskets of cookies and chocolates as well as chocolate covered cookies. We got chocolate covered nuts, plain nuts, liquor cakes, and those awesome chocolate covered cherry things that are like red balls from Harry & David. Damn I love those things. And the one printer brought us many bags of Amish chocolates, that man hates us and wants us all to be really fat. If only someone would send us a tray of vegetables.
I’ve spent most of today with a throbbing headache. This migrane seems to have decided to take up residence in my neck. It’s like it hurts to hold up my head. The issue I privately whined to many about has been resolved. I’ve asked a friend to put a hex on the jerkfaces who caused me much grief the week before Christmas.
