So for those interested in American politics I’ve found two interesting things… first off, go to Google type in “miserable failure” and check out the top return…very amusing.

Second, I found this site Daily Misleader it’s a very interesting website telling about the latest misleading report about our President. Apparently the Thanksgiving photo of Geedubyou feeding the troops wasn’t all that real. The platter you saw him holding with a turkey on it was actually a prop….there was no real food on that platter. It was all posed for the cameras. Makes me wonder what else the White House is making up…

So today I got to be out of the office for a few hours. Unfortunately the reason was not a good one. My dear co-worker friend Larry’s wife died over the holiday weekend. She had been fighting off liver cancer but didn’t make it. It was a lovely Catholic Mass. What kinda freaked me out about it though was that the priest got a bit choked up during the homily part. Priests aren’t supposed to do that…so that got me a bit choked up, then the granddaughter kinda broke down during one of the readings…I was quickly becoming a mess.

His son though had a very poignant speech written about his mother. It was so touching and funny. At both of my parent’s funerals we didn’t do anything like that. It kind of bums me out cuz I would have liked to have done something like that, but no one ever even asked me, or offered me the chance to speak. Now, it is too late. I’ll never get the chance.

Margie, I only met you a few times but you were a lovely woman and the world is at a great loss without you here.
