Oh Dear

Well, the illness is all gone, however, yesterday I was planning to help the little sis with a paper for school. I was going to proof it and send it back to her. Well, as I sat down to do the proofing, I ended up pouring Diet Pepsi all over the keyboard. I tried to clean it up quickly. But when I picked up the keyboard and turned it sideways all this pop poured out the side…. it’s very sad…. now my spacebar is the “mystery key” it could be a space, but then again it could be the delete key or the tab key or even the arrow keys that bounce you all over the document. Time for a new keyboard… thank goodness I can blog while at work!

OK in the comments to the post below people are telling me to take a day off work (or 2 or 8) to get over this strep throat…

Here’s the thing…. Mary Kay, the embodiment of all that is evil, has taken the rest of the year off (minus the one week when Missy is in town – thank God). So, since I’m the only one who knows how to do her stuff…I CAN’T take time off because then no ads will run, we will have angry clients, lose our clients, etc.

Sure, I could call Mary Kay and say, “hey woman, get your ass into the office” but then there will be the bitching and moaning from her about my organizational skills etc and I just don’t want to deal with that.

I had been on antibiotics for about a week before the strep showed up so I’m hoping that kept me from being too terribly contagious… however now I’m on some other antibiotic (a stronger one I hope) that will kick the strep in its ass and get it out of here….if I have to drink yet another meal I’m going to be SO PISSED…. I want REAL FOOD.
