OK, I’m working on getting the Snotty Bitch pieces posted here so that I can put links to things at my site here for people to more easily print\/read my stuff.

On a separate note, I entered a poetry contest at www.poetry.com<\/a> and I got this proof of my butchered poem in the mail (my poem was butchered because they have a limit on how long the poem can be….that’s just stifiling my creativity!) Their letter was polite and nice, for a formletter. But I’ve got this sneaking suspicion that, even though they SAY that only a select few make it this far, everyone gets this proof and notice that they will be published in the book BUT… here’s the catch… they only publish the silly people who pay $50 for the dang book! At least… that’s what I’m thinking.<\/b>

Cuz if I don’t buy the book, how am I to know that I wasn’t published? Well, I sent back the proof with my approval. But I didn’t buy the book cuz, I’m just not going to pay $50 for a book where I’ll potentially be buried deep inside with Grandma’s poem about the flowers in the yard and Pookie the cheerleader’s poem about how hunky Biff the quarterback is. They claim you can find the book at bookstores and at Amazon, so maybe one day I’ll be at Borders and I’ll find this book and see my poem deep inside…..maybe… but whatever. I sent them the incomplete version, the complete version is posted here at my little website… It’s in there somewhere under my stuff and it’s the poem called “In My Head”. Below is the butchered version I sent to them.<\/p>\n

Is he as nervous and freaked out as I am?<\/p>\n

I hope I don’t say anything stupid.

Do I look OK? Does he notice the cut on my face? It feels huge.

I’m sure he sees it and is so turned off.<\/p>\n

Am I doing the nervous talking thing?

I start to babble on and on and I’m not saying anything.

I hate when I do that. Shut up-you aren’t paying attention!<\/p>\n

Why are my hands so slimy?<\/p>\n

ARUGH! My glass is empty!

Is he staring at the cut on my face again?<\/p>\n

Uh-Oh did I just say what I think I said? Oh man.

Oh, look at that smile. He has such a cute smile.<\/p>\n

I wonder why he feels the need to keep talking.

He doesn’t need to keep talking to me every second.
\n

Listen to that laugh. I like the sound of his laugh.

This is so cool. He is so cute and he is talking to ME.
