Tennessee Tuxedo<\/a> cartoons. (It must be in the closet! Wait don’t open the door! *crash bang boom* I must clean up that closet.) Guess what I found…posters, a box of stuffed animals I don’t really recognize nor do I remember putting them in that closet, a marble lamp, posters, a laundry basket full of who-knows-what, posters, my Christmas wreath, posters, an old jacket from the college radio station, posters, an old book bag that’s torn to shreds, several tote bags that I thought I had given away and did I mention posters? Oh….and then there’s…THE BOX. It’s the box that when the first mention of any moving comes up I see it in my head…I dread approaching THE BOX. It’s a cardboard box that rolls of gift wrap originally came in so it’s about waist high on me. It’s a box full of the 80’s. Every Tiger Beat magazine that had Duran Duran on the cover or within its pages, my Jr. High yearbooks, my Jr. High gym suit, and I think, an ugly mirror is in that box and that’s just the items I remember putting in it. I’d just have the movers take THE BOX and load it on the truck, but the tape that keeps the bottom together has lost its stick….so yeah, I gotta go through it…and as I unloaded all the posters and crap from the Closet of Doom, and pushed the unworn clothing from side to side I took a moment to open THE BOX. At the top I found ANOTHER BOX. It’s the box that the very first VCR my family purchased came in. And when I opened that box…I found MORE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS! Good grief! I’ve got 3 Yes THREE Rubber Maid totes full of that crap and now I’ve got YET ANOTHER BOX… It was at that point I realized that if I continued the journey through THE BOX I’d never get to bed. So, I’m going to stop now and come back to it later…perhaps at that point I’ll post a full inventory of the entire box…cuz I know you’re all very curious to know what’s in the 80’s Box, not to mention the rest of the Closet of Doom.
