What sucks more than getting sick 2 days before the holiday weekend? Absolutely NOTHING! I could feel it beginning on Monday as I sat at my desk pulling together some work…my ears started to feel funny, my throat got all dry and scratchy….the nose was just beginning to drip. Today I woke up and my head was like a brick…it felt like my skull was filled with cement. I didn’t get up…I just laid there wishing it was Saturday. The boy was good, he kept quiet and didn’t turn the lights on too much, not that even lights could permeate this cement head I’ve got. I fell back to sleep and dreamt that I woke up at 3pm and forgot to call the office to tell them of my illness. Then when I really woke up it was only 7:20…then I woke up again and it was 7:22… yeah you see where this is going, I barely fall asleep and it feels like I’ve been out for days only to find minutes have passed.
I took a shower and for the first time my nose was clear! But within moments of leaving the shower the cement was refilled.
I can’t be sick, I’m making Thanksgiving dinner! I MUST BE WELL! I’ve gathered all the fabulous recipes from the Food Network<\/a> I’m even going to make pumpkin soup!
Yeah, who wants to come over for turkey and stuffing made by a sick girl?! You’re welcome to come tempt fate, and eat the food prepared by the leper<\/a>, although I’m quite certain I have either the hanta virus<\/a> or the Bird flu<\/a>….or maybe it’s anthrax<\/a>?!
