How could I let this happen? I discovered this morning that I have absolutely NO<\/b> Talking Heads for my iPod. I’ve got their album Little Creatures, but it’s on cassette and the boy STILL hasn’t helped me get set up to turn all my cassettes into MP3. I don’t want to go and buy all that stuff AGAIN.<\/p>\n
However, Zes<\/a> gave me a gift card for iTunes so perhaps that will help me fill the gap left by no Talking Heads. Yes, $15 for iTunes since December and I can’t decide what I want. There’s just TOO MUCH… do I need more blues? Jazz? World Music? Loud & Angry music? I don’t know….it’s all so good I can’t decide. When little sis was last in town she shared her whole collection with me. So I got some good stuff, which is awesome. But apparently I have been too concerned with making sure I have the GreenDayEverclear song that I missed the entire catalog of Talking Heads.<\/p>\n Then…true tragedy struck. My hard drive that is holding all that music little sis gave me failed. I have no idea what all I grabbed from her, I never made the time to transfer it all to the server. Now, I’m going to have to recover it from the iPod. Which I can do cuz I bought this rockin’ program that lets me do that. But I’m going to have to sift through all of it to see what I have backed up on the server and what I don’t…and then I’ve got to rebuild, yet again, the playlists. It is always such a project. The folks at Apple were idiots when they decided you couldn’t pull crap in from the iPod to your iTunes… When shit like this happens you’re screwed. If I didn’t have this XPlay<\/a> program I’d be totally hosed and incredibly angry. <\/p>\n So the drive is dead, other than the music, I have no idea what else was on there. So I’m guessing there wasn’t much important. Except maybe my progress with the Sid Meier’s Pirates game. So I’ll have to start all over again…dammit. And then reload ALL my games (sonofa!)
