Flashback<\/b><\/p>\n
As I was ironing a couple of shirts this afternoon I was reminded of something that happened when I briefly worked at a Major Chicago Department Store. I worked in the kids department and I was striaghtening the clothes when a woman came up to me asking where the boys pajamas were. I lead her over to the rack and she pulled a pair out and looked at them and said, “oh, these wont do, they’ll get all wrinkled and need to be ironed.”
Before I could stop myself I blurted, “They’re PAJAMAS…they are meant to get wrinkled because you sleep in them.”
She gave me a disgusted, “you must live in a trailer park” kind of look and walked away.
But seriously, there’s a reason why people say things like, “it looks like you slept in that outfit” when you show up all wrinkled and not ironed. Because pajamas get wrinkled when you sleep in them, who in their right mind IRONS pajamas…much less pajamas worn by CHILDREN?
