When I was in Sarasota, Florida I had decided that I was going to retire there, spend my old age on a beach. But now, I realize perhaps I should rethink that. Or maybe I can still be old in Florida, but spend my upcoming years in Oregon. Yes, that’s right Oregon… I have just discovered the PERFECT place to live. It is The Shire of Bend, Oregon<\/a>. An entire neighborhood inspired by Hobbits and old English country villages. It’s located in Bend, Oregon which is “nearly the geographic center of Oregon” and it is the outdoor recreation capitol of Oregon too. The Shire will even feature Hobbit Dwellings<\/a>, that’s right storage sheds designed to look like Hobbit homes. They’ve designed the townhomes in the neighborhood to look like the villages from the movie. Some houses are two stories, others are one. All seem to have garages.
