SEARING PAIN
So last month (July for those who don’t own calendars) I was having terrible tooth pain. Then it just stopped. I called the Dentist anyway…cuz pain is not somthing that usually goes away and never comes back….at least, not tooth pain. Today was my appointment for him to fix the faulty tooth. Well…I was FINE before I went to see him, nothing hurt, all was well with the world. Well, he drills at the tooth, pops out the old filling and exposes the nerve… OW! He then proclaims “you need a root canal” and puts a filling in the hole and sends me on my way with the X-Ray of the bad tooth and a referral slip to an Endodontist along with prescriptions. He tells me to take these if I feel any pain. Well…the pain was beginning and that was before the novicaine even started to wear off. But I try to be strong and bear with it…
I get the prescriptions filled just in case I need something later. Well, as I’m waiting for the prescriptions to be filled the pain is increasing getting worse and worse, I feel like I’m going to drop over. Only back pain is worse than tooth pain.
So now I’m drugged up on Tylenol 3 with Codine. but that’s not doing much, I may dose up on a second one before too long. I was fine before the dentist touched me…. this sucks. But I actually got an appointment for TOMORROW with the endodontist. so I think my pain my be ending soon.
