BAH!
It’s my birthday and I’m sick… I’ve got the runny nose, cough, sore throat, headache thing going on. I tried to get to sleep early last night. Not a chance…I was laying there tired, but unable to fall asleep from about 8:30pm until midnight. Coughing, sniffling tossing, turning it was the pits. I got up, found the cough syrup, it expired in April of 01. No surprise, it’s the nasty pukalicious stuff, that’s why there was still practically a whole bottle of it.
The boy is sick too. So we’ve postponed the lunch celebration until Friday. I sat at my desk for lunch and had a “Hostess Scary Cake” as my birthday treat. (it’s a hostess cupcake but with orange frosting and brown sprinkles. the pacakge says it has “s’cream filling”).
So…yeah, here I sit, at my desk. Blowing my nose, sucking down NyQuil and wishing I was at home in bed…
