Auto Show

I was invited to the social media preview day at the auto-show and I took a cool drive on the Jeep track and even took video. But the file is too big to upload through WordPress but I was able to upload it via the FTP. If you care to watch it, it’s a huge file and about 5 minutes long. It takes you through the whole Jeep experience The girl who drove me around on the track did an excellent job of explaining what everything was for, how it works and why they were making you drive sideways or down a hill with a 35 degree angle.

While there I also got to drive a Chevy Volt. Which is an amazing car to drive. Extremely quiet and such a smooth ride you have no idea you’ve gone from stoplight to 65mph in 2 seconds. Since it’s battery powered you don’t feel the pull of the engine as you accelerate. You just glide down the road. So awesome and I know Janet is out front pouting right now and feeling neglected. Poor Janet. Buried by snow, ignored for weeks, (actually months because I’m sure she needs special care but I just can’t afford it right now) and now I’m talking publicly of the awesomeness of the Volt and the Jeep. And I’m also preparing to upload a photo of the cutest little car I saw at the Auto Show, a 197-something Fiat. It was so small! Tammy has a good photo of me standing next to the car so you’ve got an idea of scale. It was so cute and tiny. It’s the perfect car for a city dweller like me. I’d have no problem getting rockstar parking with this car.

The beloved Fiat

Totally check out Tammy’s post so you can see just how small that car is. She’s got an excellent description of it too.

If you know where to find a great online video editor program where I can clip the enormous file into bite sized pieces for free, let me know. At the moment I don’t have the cash or the machine to purchase editing software. In the meantime I’ll make a mental note to only take 90 second videos from now on.

If you have Windows 7, use Windows Live Movie Maker video editing. It’s free and it’s actually pretty good, if a bit basic.

I adore that Fiat. So freaking cute.
