Call in Quit

Me: I considered calling in “quit” today

The Boy: Quit?

Me: Like sick, but quit instead.

The Boy: Oh….but what would you do?

Me: Clean the bathrooms, play EQ2, let the dogs out

The Boy: Wouldn’t you get bored after about 2 weeks?

Me: It would take at least 6 months before I get bored with EQ2.

Doors

I want a door

So that I can slam it when I’m angry

Shut it nicely when I’m not

Close it just to have it closed

Or close it to get some privacy

I want a door

So that I can make people wonder what’s going on when it’s closed

So that I can welcome everyone to come on in when it’s open

So that I can feel important, even though I’m not

Most of all I really want a door

Because it means I’ll have walls and an office to go along with it
